Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YH2000 is an orally bioavailable small molecule thyroid hormone receptor beta (THRβ) agonist being developed by Wuhan Jinnuosai (a subsidiary of HEC Pharm/Sunshine Lake Pharma) for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). By selectively targeting the THRβ isoform in the liver, YH2000 aims to reduce hepatic fat accumulation (steatosis), improve lipid profiles, and mitigate inflammation and fibrosis without the systemic side effects associated with THRα activation, such as cardiac and bone toxicity. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers.
