YH25724

YH25724 is a novel long-acting **GLP-1/FGF21 dual agonist fusion protein** originally developed by Yuhan and advanced via technology transfer to Boehringer Ingelheim for further clinical development. It is engineered using a hybrid Fc fusion protein platform (with technology from Genexine), designed to simultaneously activate both the **fibroblast growth factor 21 receptor (FGF21R)** and **glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R)**. The drug has shown promising anti-fibrotic, anti-inflammatory, glycemic control, weight loss, and lipid profile improvement effects in preclinical models, acting as both an **antihyperglycemic** and **hepatoprotective** agent. Its lead indications are **non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)**, **obesity**, and **non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)**. It is administered via subcutaneous injection. Initial clinical development covered type 2 diabetes, but there is currently no ongoing work in that indication.
