Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YHC2134 is an investigational long-acting triple agonist being developed by Yuhan Corporation for the treatment of obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), formerly known as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). The drug is designed to simultaneously activate the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor, the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor, and the glucagon receptor. This multi-receptor targeting approach aims to leverage the synergistic effects of these metabolic pathways to achieve superior weight loss, improved insulin sensitivity, and reduced liver fat and fibrosis compared to single or dual-receptor agonists. As of early 2024, YHC2134 is in the preclinical stage of development.
