Overview

YHD001 is a small molecule drug initially developed by Yuhan Corporation for the treatment of immune system diseases, infectious diseases, and respiratory diseases. It has been investigated in clinical trials for acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, and asthma. The mechanism of action is not fully defined but it is classified as an antibronchitic agent. Clinical development included randomized, double-blind, placebo/active-controlled studies comparing different doses of YHD001 to standard treatments such as montelukast (Singulair) or pelargonium sidoides extract[2][3][6].
