Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yi Qi Jie Du is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for the treatment of refractory chronic hepatitis C, particularly for patients who have failed or are unsuitable for standard interferon and ribavirin therapy. The formula is based on the TCM therapeutic principles of replenishing Qi (Yi Qi) and detoxification (Jie Du), which are intended to support the immune system and inhibit viral activity. It was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, multi-center clinical trial (ChiCTR-TRC-12002804) in China as part of a syndrome-differentiation-based treatment protocol alongside other formulas like Shu Gan Jian Pi and Bu Shen Rou Gan.
