Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yi Qi Yang Yin Jie Du Fang (also known as Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu decoction or YYJD) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is composed of multiple herbal ingredients, including *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Glehnia root*, *Asparagus root*, *Lilyturf root*, *Glossy privet fruit*, *Spikemoss herb*, *Chinese sage herb*, and others. The formula is designed to strengthen qi, nourish yin, and clear toxic substances. It is primarily investigated as an adjuvant therapy in combination with EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (such as gefitinib or osimertinib) or chemotherapy for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Clinical studies suggest that it may enhance T-lymphocyte activity and killer T-cell function, thereby improving immune function and quality of life while delaying the onset of drug resistance.
