Overview
Yi Shen Jian Gu is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula available as granules or gel. It is primarily used to manage aromatase inhibitor-associated musculoskeletal symptoms (AIMSS) in postmenopausal women with early-stage breast cancer undergoing aromatase inhibitor therapy. The formulation consists of a combination of 12 herbs, including Radix rehmanniae Preparata (ShuDiHuang), Semen cuscutae (TuSiZi), Rhizoma cyperi (XiangFu), Rhizoma chuanxiong (ChuanXiong), Rhizoma corydalis (YanHuSuo), and Caulis trachelospermi (LuoShiTeng). The exact full composition is currently under patent protection and not fully disclosed[2]. Clinical studies have shown that YSJG significantly improves musculoskeletal symptoms compared to placebo and is well-tolerated with mild side effects such as grade 1 nausea and grade 2 diarrhea[1][2].
