Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yibei (依倍) is a recombinant human erythropoietin (rh-EPO) developed and marketed by Chengdu Diao Pharmaceutical Group. Produced in Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells, it is a biologic therapeutic that acts as an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA). The drug functions by binding to and activating the erythropoietin receptor on erythroid progenitor cells in the bone marrow, thereby stimulating their proliferation, differentiation, and maturation into functional red blood cells. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of renal anemia in patients with chronic renal failure, including those on dialysis and those not yet requiring dialysis. Yibei is administered via subcutaneous or intravenous injection and is formulated as a lyophilized powder containing human serum albumin as a stabilizer.
