Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yifei Sanjie Recipe is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) multi-herbal formula used primarily as a complementary and alternative therapy for respiratory diseases such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is also known as "Yifei Sanjie Formula," "YFSJ," or "Yiqi Chutan Tang." The formulation contains multiple herbal ingredients including Mao Zhua Cao, Shan Ci Gu, and Ling Zhi. Preclinical studies suggest that its mechanisms include anti-inflammatory effects via inhibition of the NLRP3/caspase-1/IL-1β signaling pathway; modulation of pulmonary microbiota; reduction of oxidative stress; inhibition of mitophagy and apoptosis in skeletal muscle; promotion of tumor cell apoptosis; inhibition of tumor angiogenesis (notably through EGFR targeting by Mao Zhua Cao); and enhancement of chemotherapy sensitivity. Clinically, it has been studied for alleviating chemotherapy-related fatigue in NSCLC patients and improving quality-of-life outcomes[1][4][5].
