Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiguanjian granules (一贯煎颗粒) are a modern granule formulation of Yiguanjian (Linking Decoction), a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula first recorded in the Qing Dynasty medical text *Yi Fang Jie Du* (医方絜度). The formula is composed of six key botanical ingredients: Rehmannia root (*Rehmannia glutinosa*), Lycium fruit (*Lycium barbarum*), Glehnia root (*Glehnia littoralis*), Ophiopogon tuber (*Ophiopogon japonicus*), Dong Quai root (*Angelica sinensis*), and Melia fruit (*Melia toosendan*). It is approved in China as a Class 3.1 new Chinese medicine (derived from ancient classical prescriptions) for the treatment of Liver yin deficiency and qi stagnation syndrome, which clinically manifests as chest and hypochondriac pain, acid reflux, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat, and emotional tension. It is also widely used and evaluated for chronic hepatitis, chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, intercostal neuralgia, neurosis, and liver cirrhosis. Multiple pharmaceutical companies in China, including Shineway Pharmaceutical, Jilin Aodong Taonan Pharmaceutical, Shanghai Kaibao Pharmaceutical, Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical, and CR Sanjiu, have received regulatory approvals to manufacture and market their respective Yiguanjian granule products.
