Yilixi

Yilixi (rosiglitazone hydrochloride) is an oral small molecule antidiabetic agent developed and marketed by Sunshine Mandi Pharmaceutical. It belongs to the thiazolidinedione class and functions as a selective agonist for the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ). By activating PPARγ, Yilixi regulates the transcription of insulin-responsive genes involved in glucose control and lipid metabolism, thereby increasing insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues such as adipose tissue and muscle, and reducing hepatic glucose output. It is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
