Overview

Yiming prescription (益鸣方) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for the treatment of idiopathic tinnitus. It is formulated based on the TCM therapeutic principle of 'invigorating the spleen, tonifying the kidney, and dredging the orifices' (健脾补肾通窍). The prescription is intended to improve hearing symptoms and quality of life by addressing systemic imbalances believed to cause tinnitus. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials in combination with Yifeng (TE17) acupoint injections.
