It is indicated for conditions such as irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and postpartum recovery, including the promotion of uterine involution and the discharge of lochia. The therapeutic effects are largely attributed to alkaloids like leonurine and stachydrine, which stimulate uterine smooth muscle contractions and improve pelvic microcirculation.
