Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yin Qi San Huang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily utilized for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B and associated liver disorders characterized by damp-heat and spleen-liver deficiency. The drug is composed of five key herbal ingredients: *Artemisia capillaris* (Yinchen), *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi), *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin), *Phellodendron amurense* (Huangbai), and *Coptis chinensis* (Huanglian). Its mechanism of action involves a synergistic approach to liver health, including the inhibition of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication, reduction of liver inflammation through the antagonism of pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNF-alpha and IL-6, and the protection of hepatocytes from oxidative damage. Developed and manufactured primarily by Guizhou Bailing, it is commonly administered in capsule form to normalize liver enzyme levels (ALT and AST) and alleviate clinical symptoms such as jaundice and fatigue.
