Yin Xing Tong Zhi tablets (YXTZTs) are a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation consisting of extracts derived from *Ginkgo biloba*, with ginkgo ketone ester (comprising ginkgo flavonol glycosides and terpene lactones) as the active ingredient. Manufactured by SPH XingLing Technology Pharmaceutical, the drug is primarily used for its neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It is approved in China for vascular cognitive impairment and is being investigated for chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) in breast cancer patients. The tablets work by reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α, and mitigating oxidative stress to preserve cognitive function and protect against neuroinflammation.
