Overview

Yindan Jiedu Granules (银丹解毒颗粒) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed as an in-hospital preparation by Beijing Ditan Hospital Capital Medical University. It is designed to treat viral infections by clearing heat and detoxifying (Qingre Jiedu), a standard therapeutic principle in TCM for febrile diseases. The granule is composed of several herbal extracts, including *Lonicera japonica* (honeysuckle), *Isatis tinctoria* (woad root), *Forsythia suspensa*, and *Paeonia suffruticosa*. It has been extensively used in clinical practice at Ditan Hospital for the treatment of respiratory viral diseases, including COVID-19, where it is evaluated for its efficacy in reducing symptoms and preventing the progression of mild to moderate cases in real-world medical settings.
