Overview

M8 (also known as Yindanxinnaotong Soft Capsule or Yindan Softgels) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Miao ethnic medicine formulation developed by Guizhou Bailing and Axeon Research. It is a multi-herb softgel capsule composed of eight botanical and natural ingredients: Ginkgo biloba leaf (Ginkgo Folium), Salvia miltiorrhiza root and rhizome (Danshen), Erigeron breviscapus (灯盏细辛), Gynostemma pentaphyllum (绞股蓝), Crataegus pinnatifida fruit (Hawthorn), Allium sativum bulb (Garlic), Panax notoginseng (Sanchi), and l-borneol (天然冰片). M8 is developed for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including unstable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease, carotid atherosclerosis, and ischemic stroke sequelae. It acts through multiple mechanisms, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, lipid-regulating, and microcirculation-improving pathways. A Phase 1 single-dose dose-escalation safety study of M8 has been conducted in healthy adult volunteers to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and maximum tolerated dose.
