Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yinhu Jiedu decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by The Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of acne vulgaris, specifically targeting the gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome pattern. Administered orally, the decoction is designed to reduce inflammatory skin lesions by modulating the skin microbiota and inhibiting Th17-related inflammatory pathways. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials in China to assess its clinical efficacy, safety, and impact on TCM syndrome scores compared to tanshinone capsules.
