Yinhuang Granules (银黄颗粒) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) oral preparation manufactured by Sichuan Defeit Pharmaceutical and other pharmaceutical companies in China. It is composed of extracts from Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (honeysuckle) and Scutellariae Radix (Baikal skullcap). The formulation contains a variety of active compounds, including baicalin, chlorogenic acid, flavonoids, phenolic acids, saponins, and iridoid glycosides. According to TCM theory, its primary function is to clear heat and detoxify, providing anti-inflammatory and anti-infective properties. It is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic tonsillitis, acute and chronic pharyngolaryngitis, and upper respiratory tract infections. The product is available as an oral granule formulation and is listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
