Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yinhuang Qingfei is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal combination formula, most commonly available as the "Yin-Huang-Qing-Fei capsule" (YHQFC). It has been widely used in China for decades to treat chronic bronchitis and other respiratory conditions. The formula consists of multiple herbal ingredients and is designed to attenuate inflammation, modulate immune responses, and address pathological changes associated with asthma and chronic bronchitis. Network pharmacology studies suggest that its mechanism involves regulation of inflammatory cytokines such as interleukins (IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, IL-13), FCER1G (high affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit gamma), CCL11 (eotaxin), and EPX (eosinophil peroxidase). Clinical trials have demonstrated efficacy comparable to antibiotics like amoxicillin-clavulanate in treating chronic simple bronchitis[1][2]. The precise composition may vary by manufacturer but typically includes a blend of herbs with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties.
