Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yinqi Sanhuang Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B and hepatitis B-related liver cirrhosis, including both compensated and decompensated stages. The decoction is designed for "detoxification" and has been evaluated in clinical studies for its ability to reduce the annual incidence of primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) in patients with compensatory liver cirrhosis. Clinical data suggests that the use of this decoction can reduce the annual incidence of liver cancer in this population to approximately 1%. It is typically administered as an oral liquid preparation.
