Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yinqi Sanhuang Jiedu Tang (茵芪三黄解毒汤) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula used primarily for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B and related liver diseases. The formula typically contains multiple botanical ingredients and is designed to clear heat and detoxify the body according to TCM theory. Clinical studies have shown that it can reduce HBV DNA levels, improve liver function, alleviate inflammation, protect hepatocytes, modulate immune responses, and regulate gut microbiota in patients with chronic hepatitis B or hepatic fibrosis[1][2][4][8]. Its mechanism of action involves multi-target modulation including anti-inflammatory effects and regulation of fibrogenic pathways such as TGF-β/Smad signaling[5][7]. It is often used in combination with standard antiviral therapies like entecavir to enhance efficacy in reducing progression to cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma[1][10].
