Overview

Yinqiao Baiyi Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by The First Affiliated Hospital to Henan University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of mild COVID-19. The decoction is based on the classic "Yin Qiao" framework (typically containing *Lonicera japonica* and *Forsythia suspensa*) supplemented with "Baiyi" (termite, *Coptotermes formosanus*). In TCM, termites are traditionally used for their purported anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and immunomodulatory effects. The formula is intended to alleviate symptoms and prevent disease progression in patients with mild SARS-CoV-2 infection.
