YinQiaoSan is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula originally documented in the 18th-century text *Wen Bing Tiao Bian* (Systematic Differentiation of Warm Diseases). The formula typically consists of ten ingredients: *Lonicera japonica* (honeysuckle), *Forsythia suspensa*, *Platycodon grandiflorus*, *Mentha haplocalyx*, *Lophatherum gracile*, *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* (licorice), *Schizonepeta tenuifolia*, *Glycine max* (fermented soybean), *Arctium lappa*, and *Phragmites communis*. In modern clinical research, YinQiaoSan is investigated for its efficacy in treating respiratory viral infections, including influenza and COVID-19. Its mechanism of action is characterized by anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and antiviral effects, often involving the downregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and interference with viral replication pathways.
