Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yinqu is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation, specifically a capsule, developed by Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group (Nanjing Hailing Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of dyslipidemia. It is a combination product typically composed of extracts from *Ginkgo biloba* leaves and Red Yeast Rice (*Monascus purpureus*). The therapeutic effect is primarily attributed to monacolins (such as monacolin K) found in red yeast rice, which act as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors to lower cholesterol levels, and ginkgo flavonoids and lactones, which improve blood circulation and provide antioxidant effects. In clinical trials, it has been evaluated for patients presenting with spleen qi deficiency, phlegm, and blood stasis syndrome.
