Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yinxie I Formula is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical formulation developed by the Department of Dermatology at Ningxia Medical University for the treatment of psoriasis. It is composed of nine herbal ingredients: Sophora flavescens Aiton, Wild chrysanthemum, Common Cnidium Fruit, Angelica dahurica Benth, Rhei Radix et rhizome, Phellodendri Cortex, Fructus Kochiae, Acorus gramineus, and Alumen. The formula exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting the IL-23/IL-17 immune axis and the STAT3 signaling pathway, thereby reducing the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, IL-17A, IL-22, IL-23, and TNF-α. Research identifies Buddleoside (linarin) as a key active ingredient responsible for its anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative activities against keratinocytes. It is used clinically as a topical decoction or concentrate to alleviate skin lesions, reduce inflammatory cell infiltration, and relieve itching in patients with psoriasis.
