Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Bushen Lixue Yangtai decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula used primarily in the management of unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion. The formulation is based on TCM principles, aiming to "tonify Qi," "nourish the kidney," and "regulate blood" to support pregnancy maintenance. Its mechanism of action is believed to involve modulation of immune function, particularly by influencing the balance between Th17 and Treg cells, which are critical for immune tolerance during pregnancy. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate its effectiveness in improving immunological parameters such as TNF-alpha levels, β-HCG, sex hormones, and proportions of immunocytes in women with a history of recurrent miscarriage[1][7]. The formula is typically administered as a decoction prepared from multiple medicinal herbs.
