Overview
Yiqi Fumai Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation derived from the classic Shengmai San formula, primarily composed of *Panax ginseng*, *Ophiopogon japonicus*, and *Schisandra chinensis*. It is developed for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, specifically targeting the "Qi and Yin deficiency" syndrome. In the context of atrial fibrillation, the granule is used to prevent recurrence following radiofrequency ablation by modulating cardiac electrophysiology—specifically through the inhibition of sodium and potassium channels—and reducing atrial structural and electrical remodeling via anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative mechanisms. The drug is also investigated for its cardioprotective effects in heart failure and coronary heart disease.
