Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Gubiao Pill is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily developed and investigated by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (also known as the Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Xinjiang Medical University). The formula is designed to treat respiratory conditions by addressing "lung-spleen qi deficiency" (Fei-Pi Qi-Deficiency Syndrome), a common TCM pattern in chronic lung diseases. It is used to treat stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Tuberculosis-related obstructive pulmonary disease (TOPD), and allergic rhinitis. Clinical studies, including Phase II randomized controlled trials, have demonstrated its potential in relieving cough, alleviating asthma, expectorating phlegm, and delaying airway obstruction. The formulation is available in several forms, including traditional pills, condensed pills, and granules.
