Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Huaju decoction (YIQIHUAJUTANG) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, affiliated with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of metabolic syndrome and abnormal glucose regulation (pre-diabetes). The formula is designed based on the TCM therapeutic principles of tonifying Qi ('Yiqi') and resolving metabolic turbidity ('Huaju') to address the underlying pathogenesis of metabolic disorders. Clinical research, such as the interventional trial ChiCTR-IOR-16009607, has focused on its ability to improve blood glucose levels, insulin resistance, and systemic metabolic parameters in patients with early-stage glucose regulation abnormalities.
