Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Huayu Jiedu Fang (益气化瘀解毒方) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula designed to "tonify qi, resolve blood stasis, and detoxify." It is used primarily in the management of various cancers (including primary liver cancer and gastric cancer), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and chronic atrophic gastritis with dysplasia. The formula typically consists of multiple herbal ingredients selected for their synergistic effects on enhancing immune function, improving microcirculation, inhibiting tumor growth or metastasis, and reducing inflammation. Mechanistically, studies suggest it may exert anti-tumor effects by modulating gene expression such as p53 in precancerous lesions[3], regulating metabolic pathways related to amino acids and organic acids[2], inhibiting angiogenesis[9], and improving symptoms associated with qi deficiency, blood stasis, and toxin accumulation as defined by TCM theory. Clinical research supports its use as an adjunct therapy for advanced malignancies to improve quality of life or reduce recurrence/metastasis rates[1][4].
