Overview
Yiqi Huayu Lishui is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by Huadong Hospital for the treatment of post-traumatic ankle bone marrow edema (BME). The formula is based on the therapeutic principles of supplementing Qi (Yiqi), resolving blood stasis (Huayu), and promoting diuresis to eliminate dampness (Lishui). It aims to improve local microcirculation, reduce intraosseous pressure, and accelerate the resolution of bone marrow lesions. Clinical research indicates that the formula helps alleviate pain and restore joint function by modulating inflammatory responses and promoting the absorption of edema fluid within the bone marrow. It is typically administered as an oral decoction or granule preparation.
