Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu formula is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) multi-herbal compound designed to "tonify qi," "activate blood circulation," and "remove toxins." It is used as an adjunctive therapy in various diseases, including stable coronary heart disease, antibiotic-resistant pneumonia, and certain cancers. The formulation typically contains multiple herbs with purported anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and cytoprotective effects. Mechanistically, preclinical studies suggest it may inhibit inflammatory cytokine production (such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α), suppress NLRP3 inflammasome activation in immune cells (PBMCs), and repress Drp1-dependent mitochondrial fission to reduce tissue inflammation and damage[1][9][10]. Clinical trials are ongoing for several indications.
