Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Jianpi Shexue Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation used primarily for the treatment of chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and other conditions characterized by "spleen qi deficiency" and impaired blood control according to TCM theory. The granule is based on classical formulas such as Guipi Tang and Sijunzi Tang, with modifications. Its main ingredients typically include Astragalus membranaceus (Huangqi), Codonopsis pilosula (Dangshen), Poria cocos (Fuling), Atractylodes macrocephala (Baizhu), Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Zhigancao), Eclipta prostrata (Ejiao), Rubia cordifolia (Qiancao) among others[3][4]. The mechanism of action is believed to involve tonifying spleen qi, nourishing blood, promoting hemostasis by improving platelet count and function, modulating immune response, and reducing bleeding symptoms in ITP patients[1][2][8]. Clinical studies suggest it can improve symptoms of fatigue, dizziness, spontaneous bruising/bleeding associated with ITP or similar syndromes in TCM[1][4][8].
