Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Joint Venture traditional Chinese medicine (also known as Yiqi Heji or Yiqi Mixture) is a herbal formulation developed by The Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily used for the treatment of granulomatous lobular mastitis (GLM), a chronic inflammatory disease of the breast. The medicine is designed based on traditional Chinese medicine principles to tonify Qi (Yiqi), which is believed to support the immune system and promote the resolution of inflammation. In clinical trials, it is being evaluated as a monotherapy or in combination with corticosteroids (hormone therapy) to improve clinical cure rates, shorten treatment duration, and reduce the recurrence of GLM.
