Overview
Yiqi Suoquan is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily indicated for the treatment of urinary incontinence, including stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and mixed urinary incontinence (MUI). It is a modified version of the classic Suoquan Wan ("Shrink the Fountain Pill"), incorporating "Yiqi" (Qi-replenishing) herbs to address underlying Spleen and Kidney Qi deficiency. The formulation typically consists of *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi), *Alpinia oxyphylla* (Yizhiren), *Dioscorea oppositifolia* (Shanyao), and *Lindera aggregata* (Wuyao). It is administered in several forms, most commonly as a decoction (Tang) or as granules. Clinical research has explored its efficacy both as a monotherapy and as part of a combination therapy with acupuncture or pelvic floor muscle training to improve bladder storage function and urethral closure pressure.
