Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Weixue is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed by Guangdong Hongshanhu Pharmaceutical, primarily indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia and syndromes characterized by deficiency of both qi and blood. The formulation typically contains heme iron extracted from porcine blood, combined with herbal extracts such as Astragalus membranaceus (Huangqi) and Ziziphus jujuba (Dazao). It acts by supplementing iron directly and utilizing herbal components to tonify qi, which in TCM theory supports the production and circulation of blood. It is available in several oral dosage forms, including capsules, granules, and oral liquids, and is widely used in China as a blood tonic.
