Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Decoction (YQYYJD) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Longhua Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, for the treatment of lung cancer and high-risk pulmonary nodules. It is composed of multiple herbs, including milkvetch root, glehnia root, asparagus root, lilyturf root, grossy privet fruit, spikemoss herb, Chinese sage herb, and manyleaf paris rhizome. The decoction is designed to strengthen qi, nourish yin, and remove toxic substances. Mechanistically, YQYYJD modulates the EGFR-PI3K-AKT signaling pathway and enhances anti-tumor immunity by increasing CD4+ and CD8+ T cell activity and the production of cytokines such as IL-2 and IFN-gamma. It is clinically evaluated for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), often in combination with EGFR-TKIs like osimertinib, and for preventing the malignant transformation of ground-glass opacities (GGO) and pulmonary nodules.
