Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yiqi Yangying is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by The General Hospital of Fuzhou Army District. It is designed based on the TCM principles of boosting Qi (Yiqi) and nourishing Yin (Yangying) to support patients undergoing chemotherapy for gastrointestinal cancers. The formulation is primarily used as an adjuvant therapy for post-operative patients with gastric carcinoma and colonic cancer to mitigate the side effects of combination chemotherapy, improve immune function, and enhance quality of life. Clinical studies, such as the multicenter randomized controlled trial ChiCTR-TRC-09000389, have evaluated its efficacy in reducing chemotherapy-induced toxicity and improving patient outcomes in the oncology setting.
