Overview

The formula typically consists of a combination of botanical ingredients such as *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi), *Rehmannia glutinosa* (Dihuang), and *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen). Mechanistically, it is reported to exert therapeutic effects by inhibiting renal fibrosis and inflammation, specifically through the modulation of the TGF-beta1/Smad signaling pathway and the reduction of inflammatory mediators like NF-kappaB.
