Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YiQiSanJu is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by researchers at Fudan University for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The formula is a combination of several botanical ingredients, primarily including *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi), *Coptis chinensis* (Huanglian), and *Artemisia capillaris* (Yinchen). It is designed to address metabolic imbalances by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing hepatic lipid accumulation, and alleviating oxidative stress and inflammation in the liver. Clinical research, including Phase 1 studies, has focused on its efficacy in reducing intrahepatic fat content and improving biochemical markers of liver health, such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST).
