Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yishen Jiangzhuo therapy (YJG) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) multi-herb granule formulation developed for the treatment of renal anemia and chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly in non-dialysis patients at stages 3–4. The formulation consists of a complex botanical mixture including *Radix Pseudostellariae* (Taizishen), *Poria* (Fuling), *Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae* (Baizhu), *Radix Astragali Mongolici* (Huangqi), *Herba Taxilli Chinensis* (Sangjisheng), *Fructus Mori* (Sangshen), *Radix et Rhizoma Rhei Palm* (Dahuang), and *Herba Serissae Japonicae* (Liuyuexue). It is primarily studied by the Hebei Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine as an add-on to standard Western medical care. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to the synergistic action of its multiple herbal constituents, which have been shown to influence immunity, bone metabolism, fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) levels, and erythropoiesis-related parameters.
