Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yishen Kangyan Formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN), a common cause of nephrotic syndrome in adults. The formula is designed to tonify the kidney and reduce renal inflammation. In clinical research, specifically the prospective multicenter real-world interventional study ChiCTR2500114177, it is evaluated as an add-on therapy to a standard immunosuppressive regimen consisting of an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody and tacrolimus, on a background of renin-angiotensin system (RAS) inhibitor therapy. The goal of this combination is to improve clinical response rates and reduce proteinuria in patients with moderate-to-high risk IMN.
