Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yishen Qufeng formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal composition developed by the Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy, where it is used to reduce proteinuria and improve renal function markers. The formula is based on the TCM therapeutic principles of tonifying the kidney ("Yishen") and expelling wind ("Qufeng"). It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (ChiCTR2300078032) as an add-on therapy to standard care in non-dialysis adult patients, comparing its efficacy and safety against Tripterygium glycosides.
