Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yishen Qutong is a patented Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. It is formulated based on the TCM principles of reinforcing healthy qi to strengthen the body, removing toxins, and resolving stasis. The drug is primarily investigated as an adjuvant or neoadjuvant therapy in combination with chemoradiotherapy or chemoimmunotherapy for locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). It aims to improve clinical benefit rates, pathological response, and patient quality of life by mitigating the side effects of conventional Western treatments and enhancing the body's anti-tumor response.
