Overview
Yishen Tiaojing Wan is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation used primarily for treating gynecological conditions associated with kidney deficiency, such as irregular menstruation, diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), and infertility. Preclinical research indicates that the formula works by inhibiting the apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells and improving overall ovarian function. Its mechanism of action involves the modulation of apoptotic pathways, specifically through the down-regulation of pro-apoptotic factors like caspase-3 and Bax, and the up-regulation of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2. Furthermore, studies suggest it influences the PTEN/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway in ovarian tissues, which plays a critical role in follicle development and cell survival.
