Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yishen Xiezhuo Fang is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) granule formulation used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly in patients with diabetes-related CKD. It is designed to tonify the kidneys, promote diuresis, and eliminate dampness and turbidity. Clinical studies have shown that when combined with Western medications such as valsartan, it can significantly reduce urinary microalbuminuria and serum creatinine, improve glomerular filtration rate (GFR), lower D-dimer and fibrinogen levels, alleviate clinical symptoms of diabetic CKD patients, enhance quality of life, improve renal microcirculation and function, and reduce proteinuria[1][7]. The mechanism of action is believed to involve multi-targeted protection of renal function through TCM principles rather than a single molecular target.
