Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yishen Zengmo Tang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal decoction formulated to address thin endometrium and impaired endometrial receptivity, particularly in the context of assisted reproductive technology (ART). The formula typically comprises a combination of herbs such as Rehmannia glutinosa, Cuscuta chinensis, and Angelica sinensis, which are traditionally utilized to tonify the kidney and nourish the blood. Mechanistically, the formula is hypothesized to promote endometrial proliferation and angiogenesis by modulating the expression of estrogen receptors (ER), progesterone receptors (PR), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), thereby improving the uterine environment for embryo implantation. Clinical studies in China have evaluated its efficacy in increasing endometrial thickness and improving clinical pregnancy rates in patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
