Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yisheng Bugu capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Dalian Aosen Pharmaceutical. It is an oral capsule approved in China for the treatment of osteoporosis and related bone conditions, particularly those associated with kidney deficiency and blood stasis according to TCM theory. The formulation is a complex mixture of herbal extracts, including *Psoraleae Fructus* (Buguzhi), *Drynariae Rhizoma* (Gusuibu), and *Epimedii Herba* (Yinyanghuo). These ingredients contain bioactive compounds such as icariin and psoralen, which are thought to promote bone formation by stimulating osteoblast activity and inhibiting bone resorption through the modulation of the RANKL/OPG pathway and estrogen receptor signaling. The drug is used to improve bone mineral density and alleviate symptoms like chronic back pain and skeletal weakness.
