Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yishenzhongzifang is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Clinical Medical College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Capital Medical University). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of male reproductive disorders, specifically idiopathic asthenospermia and testicular injury. The formula is designed to address TCM patterns consistent with essence and blood deficiency (Shen-essence deficiency syndrome). Pharmacological studies suggest that Yishenzhongzifang exerts protective effects on spermatogenesis and testicular function by inhibiting oxidative stress, suppressing Caspase-3-mediated apoptosis, and regulating the Nrf2/GPX4/ACSL4 signaling pathway to inhibit ferroptosis in epididymal epithelial cells.
